Get To Know Travis
Travis has always had an entrepreneurial drive, a trait that shaped his career path and life philosophy. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M with a degree in Finance from Mays Business School, his post-college plans took an unexpected turn, all thanks to a girl. Despite initially taking the self-professed ‘safe route’ by joining Deloitte, it wasn’t long before he felt the pull towards a more entrepreneurial path.
This pivotal shift from a predictable career to embracing the unknown has led Travis to advocate passionately for the idea that your twenties are your “defining decade” – a term coined by psychologist and author Meg Jay. He believes this period is a transformational time to bet on oneself, and he exemplified this belief in October 2019 by leaving his role as an executive vice president at a financial planning firm to start his own independent firm, 49 Financial.
The Best Part of Me
Travis lives in Austin with his wife Jaclyn, their daughters Charlotte, Olivia, and Madison, and their goldendoodle Duncan. Outside of the office, you can find him hanging with his girls, playing golf, catching a Peloton ride, or enjoying a glass of good wine.
